in the community: Dealul Plesului & Monumentul Eroilor
Saturday we decided to be productive around the house (while monitoring our centrala) and then explore the hills around our town a bit more. From the main street in town, you can see a monument in the hills and we’ve been itching to find our way up there. After a looking at a map a bit, we headed out to explore.
We found the path prettily easily; it was marked! We found the monument and noticed that the path continued, but we didn’t know where it went. We walked for few miles and finally turned back as it was getting cloudier. On our walk back down, we noticed a sign that said the path we were on takes you to the Cetate. That’s super cool that you can walk to the fortress through the hills. Next time we have visitors, that will definitely be on our agenda!
